    Job Description

As an Data Analyst in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.

    This is a hybrid role based in Lake County, IL

    Uses appropriate tools to collect, correlate and analyze data for use in (1) improving team and individual quality and productivity, (2) aid in the optimization of current business practices and (3) understand the impact of changes, improvements, or projects on team performance. Prepares written reports of work. Applies and executes standard information systems theories, concepts and techniques.

    Responsibilities

    • Determines approach and solution to problem when issue is within scope of own ability. Develop solutions to problems where casual relationships can be identified and precedents exist.
    • Apply analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on systems. Incorporates knowledge of business and technology to make recommendations. Translates data gathered from user discussions into business requirements. Identifies business/system needs and recommends solutions. Assists with the testing strategies and develops preliminary findings.
    • Partners with business to analyze processes and needs, and makes recommendations that are most effective means to satisfy those needs. Analyses the most complex work procedures and job methods and presents concepts to simplify those procedures.
    • Work is performed and technical decisions are made with a clear partnership with SMEs in the business. As a result, a strong understanding of the business is required.
    • Works effectively with team/group to accomplish organizational goals. Actively participates in client or team meetings by offering suggestions. Provides leadership to project planning.
    • Monitors and organizes the efforts of technical and business support staff. Manages projects according to milestones and completes tasks assigned by more experienced analysts and managers. Guides the efforts of less experienced staff.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and at least 2 years relevant experience or Masters degree.
    • Experience developing and generating reports to maximize efficiency

    Beneficial:

    • Experience with continuous improvement preferred
    • Experience working in pharmaceutical industry
    • Project Management experience is a plus

    • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

    • We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.

    • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
