    KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for our Deal Advisory & Strategy Core Rotation practice.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist internal team members with providing mergers and acquisitions advice and assistance related to buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, through financial, technical accounting, operational and asset based lending due diligence assistance, to Fortune 100 companies, private equity investors and commercial lenders
    • Analyze target company and/or client data to identify key financial performance and operating trends and insights through rigorous financial statement analysis and applied data analytics
    • Help provide accounting advisory support and research to clients, including assistance with SEC filings, divestitures and carve-out financial statements, initial public offerings, debt offerings, merger and acquisition filings for domestic and cross-border transactions, fresh-start accounting for clients emerging from bankruptcy, IFRS conversion, complex capital and financing structures and implementation of new accounting standards including assessing their impact on deal metrics
    • Help provide accounting advisory services and assistance to management in the execution and operation of post transaction accounting issues and policies
    • Assist with designing, creating and composing client tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key engagement and/or transaction issues which address and highlight stakeholder concerns, valuation models, synergies, contractual issues and accounting and tax reporting implications including the following analyses of operating trends, quality of earnings, financial position, net working capital, debt and potential indebtedness considerations, borrowing base calculations and/or business combinations

    Qualifications:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelor of Accountancy, Master of Accountancy, or equivalent program
    • Pursuing minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business (the state in which the office is located) for this position (completion required before beginning full-time in Advisory)
    • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
    • Strong technical aptitude and critical thinking skills, demonstrated quality service mindset and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
    • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
    • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
