KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for our Modeling & Valuation practice in Consulting.
Responsibilities:
Participate in client engagements around bank treasury / liquidity risk management and assist our clients in regulatory rules interpretation, stress scenario and assumptions development, risk metrics calibration, funding plans, recovery and resolution and other key aspects of the liquidity framework
Document treasury / liquidity risk policies, procedures, controls and governance frameworks
Assist in the development, testing and production of liquidity regulatory reports
Perform evaluations of client processes and controls around liquidity risk management and bank treasury against key regulations, industry leading practices and benchmarks
Build tools that enable our clients to efficiently utilize capital and liquidity resources, consistent with regulatory expectations
Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Information systems or an equivalent program from an accredited college or university
Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
Strong understanding of capital markets, banking, financial products and accounting.
Structured thinking, strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications, ability to work with large datasets. Data/programming skills is a strong plus
Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
