  • Responsibilities

    Interning with us will provide you substantive and challenging work experiences. You will have the opportunity to develop specific skills (i.e. research, writing, computer, presentation skills) within the exciting world of culinary publication.

    We hope that by the end of your internship you will be better able to set realistic goals for projects, manage your time better, and have a formal portfolio of your published, bylined work that you can show future employers as evidence of your accomplishments.

    Because we are a small company (25 employees), you have the opportunity to really make an impact on the company and the service we provide.

    Internships are for 3-6 months from the late summer into the fall in our NY office and are unpaid. Internships can be eligible for college credit and you will receive a letter of recommendation.

    Last year we hired three of our interns for full-time employment - we're always looking for new talent!

  • Qualifications

    In order to benefit from an internship with us you will need to be a self-starter capable of doing largely unsupervised editorial work in our busy NY office.

    You will need strong writing and research skills, strong interpersonal skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, a gregarious personality, and a drive for results.

    Our ideal candidate is an English, Journalism or Communications major in college and has attended culinary school, or had comparable culinary experience.

    You will need to be organized, responsible, aggressive, out-going, enthusiastic, and able to work as part of a (sometimes a bit crazy) team.

    You will also need strong editorial and writing skills as well as an intense interest in the culinary world.
