As the Active Lifestyle Communities (Trilogy) division continues its quest toward the 2020 Vision of delivering 5,000 closings in “Experience Oriented” communities by the year 2020, there will be a premium on developing and retaining top talent. Furthermore, there will be an abundance of leadership opportunities available for people who have a broad understanding of the business. It is our belief that a candidate possessing a solid educational background, coupled with an intensive, hands-on development program, is the right profile to take on key leadership roles in the future.

High-potential future leaders will be exposed to all facets of the business through a 24-month development program at a community. This program entails spending time performing roles in Construction management, Customer Service, Sales and Land Development. It also comprises time in functions such Design, Club Operations, Purchasing or performing special projects.

Candidates will initially spend 3 months rotating all disciplines at a community in order to assimilate to the team. After this, and for balance of the 24-month program, LDAs will spend time performing more in-depth assignments in the first four functions below, which are most essential to the business:

    • Construction*
    • Sales**
    • Customer Service
    • Land Development
    • Design
    • Club Operations
    • Purchasing

*LDAs are expected to build a complete set of homes from trench to internal acceptance while in the Construction rotation.

**LDAs are also expected to become fully trained in “Foundations” selling system and spend a meaningful amount of time on the sales floor using these skills.

After completion of this 24-month process, LDAs will come “off program” and transition into any of a variety of key leadership roles at a community or the Central Services (Trilogy corporate) office.

LDAs are expected to cycle through several of these types of roles for the next 24-36 months in preparation for business leader opportunities.
