Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PowerBI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong data analysis and visualization background with the ability to work with various functions to enhance and expand their reporting and analysis needs. The candidate will develop, implement, and optimize business intelligence solutions using Microsoft PowerBI. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and maintain interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
• Create and manage data models, including relationships, hierarchies, and measures to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into PowerBI. This includes working with databases, multi-dimensional models, spreadsheets, and other data storage solutions.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can support decision-making processes.
• Partner with the data architect to design and develop data models for reporting
• Work directly with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Define governance approaches and act as a business and/or technical expertise to attain objectives, including gateway setups, capacity, license planning, optimization, etc.
• Coach functional power users to be able to derive the full value of Power BI
• Provide technical guidance and manage workload for other PowerBI developers
• Continuously monitor and improve PowerBI solutions for performance, usability, and reliability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for PowerBI reports, data models, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent degree with experience.
• 8-10 years of experience in developing PowerBI reports and dashboards.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, including DAX and Power Query.
• Strong understanding of data modeling using tabular and multi-dimensional models, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with T-SQL, MDX, and relational databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data services like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to travel when required (approximately 10%).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of other BI tools and platforms.
• Familiarity with Business Analysis and working with financial systems.
• Familiarity with change management processes and best practices for BI tools.
• Understanding of Agile practices and methodology.
• Previous experience in real estate or finance industries.
