    Job Description

    As a Regional Compliance Specialist at Cirrus, you will ensure properties adhere to regulatory requirements from agencies like LIHTC, HUD, and local jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include managing compliance tasks such as audits, inspections, reporting, and maintaining updated policies and procedures. You will support and train staff on compliance and property management systems like Yardi, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. While not a supervisory role, this position is critical in guiding site staff on compliance practices and effectively communicating with management teams.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Compliance Oversight : Ensures Cirrus properties comply with all regulatory requirements (e.g., LIHTC, HUD, HOME) and manages tools like Secure Systems and SAVE. Conducts file reviews, audits, and research on applicable laws and client agreements.
    • Communication : Reports compliance issues, develops corrective action plans, and communicates financial risks (e.g., payment delays, LIHTC violations). Keeps teams updated using tracking tools and workflows.
    • Professionalism : Meets deadlines, maintains organized records, and communicates clearly with staff and stakeholders. Upholds confidentiality and fosters professional relationships.
    • Collaboration and Problem-Solving : Works with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, adapt to regulatory changes, and improve compliance operations. Develops innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
    • Support and Training : Provides tailored support to teams, increasing their independence through training, milestones, and resources like the 4350.3 and LIHTC guide 8823. Responds promptly to support requests and escalates when needed.

    Education/Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in the affordable housing compliance, property management, or a related field - Required
    • 5+ years’ auditing files
    • 5+ years’ experience with Yardi’s affordable housing platform, or similar, and Microsoft Office 365 products
    • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent experience. - Required

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Industry certification such as COS, HCCP, CPM, CAM or similar preferred

    25% travel to multiple states.

    Looking for candidates in the Pacific time zone. Required

    Additional Information

    Annual Salary - $70,000
