The McLean Bible Church, Access Ministry, has positions open for Camp Counselors and Senior Camp Counselors for the SOARING OVER SEVEN Summer Camp which is held at our main campus in Tysons Corner, VA.

The Camp Counselor supervises children in assigned rooms and off-site camp outings during the daily operation of the SOARING OVER SEVEN Summer Adventure Camp session. The Counselor works in conjunction with members of the team including the Group Coordinator (GC), the Assistant Group Coordinator (AGC) , fellow counselors, and volunteers. (Dates of employment are July 1-31, 2015)

Responsibilities: • Attends training days with camp staff and volunteers. • Understands camp curriculum in order to facilitate teaching during camp. • Understands all camp activities and schedules before and during camp session. • Communicates with fellow staff and volunteers on an ongoing basis in daily planning sessions covering camp details. • Assists GC in preparing camper rooms daily with play items and camp materials appropriate to needs of campers. • Works in conjunction with other room team staff to organize and break down rooms at end of each camp day session. • Respects a daily time of prayer for staff, campers, the camp day, and other prayer requests. • Prepares on a daily basis to lead a class in story, craft, lunch, and/or activity time. • Participates as a team member in the operation of other daily camp activities such as nature walks, group play, movie time, and visiting entertainment. • Organizes with other room team members in preparation for off site activities.

McLean Bible Church (MBC) is a large, multi-campus church with campuses located in Loudoun, Prince William County, Arlington, Bethesda and Silver Spring. The main campus is located in Northern Virginia near Tysons Corner Shopping Center. MBC serves approximately 11,000 people per weekend.
