**Senior Bridge Engineer III**
The Senior Bridge Engineer III leads bridge design projects of various scopes, overseeing structural engineering, team coordination, and project management. Key responsibilities include:
\- **Engineering & Design**: Lead bridge design for Primary, Secondary, and Interstate systems. Conduct load ratings, bridge rehabilitation, and repair design in line with AASHTO standards.
\- **Project Leadership**: Manage multiple moderate complexity projects, directing bridge engineers, EI/EITs, and integrating multi-discipline collaboration to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
\- **Client & Team Coordination**: Engage with clients to establish project scope and develop proposals. Oversee structural design within multi-discipline teams and support structural construction, including field visits and RFIs.
\- **Quality & Compliance**: Maintain quality standards and mentor bridge staff, guiding them through professional development, code compliance, and technical skill-building.
**Qualifications:**
\- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural focus) from an ABET-accredited program; Master's preferred.
\- **Licensing**: PE or SE licensure in at least one U.S. state, ideally the local jurisdiction.
\- **Experience**: 15+ years as a lead bridge engineer with strong design experience in bridge structures for public projects and familiarity with AASHTO LRFD.
\- **Skills**: Proficient in bridge engineering software such as MicroStation, LEAP Bridge, AASHTOWare, and finite element modeling tools.
\- **Soft Skills**: Strong communication, client-oriented mindset, and leadership qualities to foster teamwork and mentor junior engineers.
