    **Position Overview:**

    The Director of Human Resources will oversee and manage all HR functions, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws (with a focus on Florida and California regulations), aligning HR strategy with business objectives, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess relevant HR certifications and significant experience in companies with 300+ employees.

     

    **Key Responsibilities:**

    \- **Leadership & Strategy:** Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s overall business strategy. Partner with senior leadership to build a high-performance culture.

    \- **Employee Relations:** Serve as a key advisor for employee relations, handling complex situations with confidentiality, and ensuring adherence to company policies and state-specific regulations, especially in Florida and California.

    \- **Policy Development:** Create, revise, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and best practices.

    \- **Talent Management:** Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention strategies, and succession planning to attract and retain top talent.

    \- **Training & Development:** Implement and manage training programs to foster career development and performance improvement.

    \- **Compensation & Benefits:** Oversee and evaluate compensation structures and benefits programs to ensure they remain competitive and in alignment with company objectives.

    \- **Compliance & Reporting:** Ensure the company is compliant with labor laws, maintaining records and preparing required reports for state and federal authorities.

    \- **Performance Management:** Lead performance evaluation processes, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, performance feedback, and professional development.

    \- **HR Systems Management:** Maintain and improve HR information systems (HRIS) to support data analysis and reporting needs.

    \- **Diversity & Inclusion:** Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment by developing strategies that encourage an equitable workplace.

     

    **Required Qualifications:**

    \- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

    \- **Certifications:** Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.

    \- **Experience:** Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Previous experience working with a workforce of 300+ employees is essential.

    \- **State-Specific Experience:** Demonstrated experience managing HR functions for employees in both Florida and California.

    \- **Skills:**

    \- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

    \- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    \- Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

    \- Proficiency in HRIS and data management.

     

    **Preferred Qualifications:**

    \- Experience in the transportation or manufacturing industry.

    \- Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.

    \- Experience with change management and organizational development.
