Job Title: Lead MEP Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead MEP Engineer to oversee and manage the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with other disciplines and ensuring that the MEP systems are properly designed, installed, and maintained to meet project requirements and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the MEP engineering team in the design, installation, and maintenance of MEP systems.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams to ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall project.
Develop and review MEP design documents, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that the MEP systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with design documents and industry standards.
Manage MEP project budgets, schedules, and resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior MEP engineers and support staff.
Maintain a thorough understanding of current industry codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems.
Identify and evaluate new technologies and techniques related to MEP systems and recommend their incorporation into the design and construction process.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex MEP projects from conception to completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
