Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year + yearly bonuses

We are seeking a Project Architect to join our team in Hoover, Alabama, who has a passion for K-12 public school projects and a strong background in architectural design and project management.
Position Overview
As a Project Architect, you will lead the design and execution of K-12 public school projects and ensure that all work meets the highest functionality, sustainability, and innovation standards. This role requires a hands-on professional working full-time in our Hoover, AL, office and collaborating closely with our team and clients. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of K-12 public school projects from concept through construction administration.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure project goals, schedules, and budgets are met.
- Produce high-quality drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Oversee the preparation of architectural documents, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and regulations.
- Manage and mentor junior architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors during construction phases to ensure design intent is executed properly.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including school districts and educational planners, to create functional and inspiring learning spaces.
Qualifications
- 4–20 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Experience with K-12 public school projects is required.
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, and educational facility design standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, in-office environment.
