Job Summary:
In partnership with the Mechanical Team Leader, the Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for a project's HVAC system design and implementation and associated project deliverables. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of medium to large building projects, developing project concepts, and budgets, completing site assessments, and writing reports to create solutions for our clients. This position is also responsible for managing and mentoring a team of Engineers and Designers.

You Have:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Licensed PE or path to licensure
- 10+ years of project engineering experience
- Experience in Healthcare, government, commercial, manufacturing, and/or education required
- Experience in leading or working in integrated teams
- Experience in a leadership role on a consulting team
- Knowledge and ability to review drawings for quality assurance, and quality control
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering, associated systems, calculations, and construction methods
- Experience in various analysis tools for mechanical system design
- Experience in mechanical specification development and writing
- Experience in financially projecting department revenue and overhead
- Experience with the local market and the associated business development
- Experience mentoring an engineering staff
- Experience working with Revit and BIM
You Will:
- Performs and supervises the preparation of technical drawings and assessment reports
- Develop typical details, specifications, and drawing standards including the development of Revit standards in coordination with the team
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technology updates, recommend changes as needed
- Provide design inputs and reviews of team members' projects to verify conformity to quality assurance, quality control, and best practice standards
- Provide technical support and project communications to the team, as required
- Participate in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, and technical issues
- Perform site visit surveys to determine engineering strategies and to document and evaluate existing systems
- Visit project sites during construction for quality, progress, and compliance review with specifications and standards
- Review and provide a response to "Request for Information" and "Submittals" during the construction administration phase
- Attend and participate in Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings as required
- Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary
- Mentor less experienced engineering team members
- Works on developing a positive relationship of trust with the team
- Provide support to the BD team including write-ups of key aspects of projects and presentation of work at industry events
- Collaborate with Marketing in preparing RFQ and RFP packages
