Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with expertise in multi-family buildings to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the structural design of diverse projects, with a strong focus on apartment buildings and multi-level structures. Your proficiency in post-tensioning and extensive experience will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality structural designs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design of multi-family buildings and other complex structures.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and efficient designs.
- Utilize your expertise in post-tensioning to optimize structural performance.
- Apply knowledge of seismic and wind design principles to ensure safety and resilience.
- Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineering License (PE).
- 5-20 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on multi-family buildings.
- Proficiency in relevant design codes, standards, and technical software.
- Experience in high seismic and wind regions.
- Expertise in structural steel, wood-framed construction, elevated concrete, and post-tensioned concrete.
- Familiarity with expansive soils and their impact on foundation design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
