    POSITION PURPOSE

    Change Healthcare’s Cyber security incident response team is looking for a senior-level Information Security Analyst to assist in finding the “needle”.  Obligations include, performing investigations on security related incident, acting as an escalation point for investigations, and working to improve alerts and visibility. The analyst will mentor junior analysts in incident response, investigation activities, and managing/enhancing tools used for investigations. The analyst will continually work to find new methods to detect potentially malicious behavior.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Investigate security events and Incidents
    • Monitor and investigate anomalies in security tool alerts
    • Performs network traffic analysis when anomalous traffic needs to be investigated
    • Writes reports related to specific information security issues and investigations
    • Monitors cyber assets and critical infrastructure to ensure system up-time
    • Creates and monitors tickets related to all SOC related investigations.
    • Participate in exercises that test policies, procedures and skills which are required by business and critical operations
    • Write rules and triggers to detect information to find threats
    • Tune security tools
    • Mentor other analysts
    • Write automation
    • Write scripts (Python, Powershell, VBscript)

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or related field
    • Security certification such as GCIA, GCIH, CEH, Security+
    • Cloud certifications (preferred)

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

    • Proficient level of experience working with Linux, OS X, UNIX and Windows operating systems
    • Incident investigation and handling experience (4+ years. Proficient level of experience performing investigations on Linux, Windows and network devices for on-premises and cloud environments.
    • Incident investigations experience in Cloud based environments
    • Scripting knowledge and proficiency
    • Good working knowledge of networking concepts
    • Experience writing use cases for SIEM and security tools
    • Experience analyzing log and flow data (5+ years)
    • Experience in security automation and orchestration
    • Experience in API scripting
    • Experience with IPS/IDS, Malware, Proxy, EDR, Cloud governance, and other security systems
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients and customers
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
    • Ability to administer security controls including antivirus/malware/host intrusion prevention solutions, file integrity monitoring solutions, intrusion detection/ prevention systems, network access controls, Security Incident Event Monitoring solutions, etc.

    SOFT SKILLS

    • Ability to lead other team members or others outside the team in technical discussions
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and written effectively
    • Ability to work under pressure and exhibits good time management skills
    • Works well within a team environment as well as with Leadership
    • Exhibits a strong work ethic and leads by example

    COLORADO RESIDENTS ONLY:

    The base pay range for Colorado residents is $68,590.00 - $140,700.00 plus any relevant incentive pay programs that may be aligned to the role.
