    Job Description

    As a Construction and Facilities Business Controller in the Expansion function, you are responsible for supporting the Regional Head of Construction & Facilities Manager with setting and implementing the regional strategy for construction and facilities. You set budgeting and follow-up with result, perform trend analysis, prognosis, and reporting. You are responsible for risk management, driving improvements and actions in processes, methods and tools and leading your team. You support all markets and brands within the region.

    This hybrid role reports to our Expansion Controlling Manager and is based out of New York, NY.

    A Day in the Life

    Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*

    • Support Regional Head of Construction and Facilities to develop, maintain and improve the regional C&F strategy
    • Together with Head of Expansion Controlling, develop, maintain and improve the regional controlling strategy
    • Set short- and long-term goals and targets for countries within the region
    • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders and countries within the region to secure alignment in ways of working
    • Create and maintain strategy and tools for budgeting processes within the region
    • Utilize Service Channel analytics to secure needed reports, analysis to support your team as well as the C&F teams in the Sales Markets
    • Follow-up on budget accuracy and constantly improve the way of working in this field. Trend analysis, prognosis and reporting
    • Act as a finance business partner to the C&F organization in your region to identify opportunities to optimize requirements, improve the balance between cost and quality
    • Develop and implement methods and systems to increase efficiency and decrease costs
    • Manage and monitor the financial control systems of the construction and facilities department
    • Ensure cost follow up supports sales market C&F Managers to have the full picture of the total Construction & Facilities cost including CAPEX, OPEX, reactive and scheduled costs, FM20s and SP10s
    • Proactively analyze and evaluate department and function performance versus set short- and long-term goals
    • Prepare and communicate monthly and quarterly reporting packages
    • Work according to the general guidelines to ensure routines and drive improvements/actions in processes, methods, and tools to minimize business risks
    • Secure the financial transparency on the highest level and that each team member is aware of its responsibilities and approval rights
    • Create conditions to enable performance of teams and individuals
    • and develop talents in order to build (future) organization and diverse teams
    • Strengthen teamwork and foster collaboration
    • Required Domestic and International travel at least 5% of the time
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Who You Are:

    • Degree in business administration or engineering
    • Knowledge about common accounting principles
    • Advanced level in Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Oral and written proficiency in English
    • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
    • Experience working in controlling, preferably within the retail sector
    • Experience with preparing and presenting financial reporting to Senior Management and other stakeholders.

    Compensation: salary range is $125,822-$144,699 annually**
