Position:
The Data Science Intern, Voice of Customer (VOC) will contribute to the growth of a best-in-class VOC Program by supporting partners across the Signet organization with analytics and actionable insights with a customer-first mindset. Under the guidance of VOC Managers, assist in data sourcing, blending and cleaning, in preparation for analysis across multiple sources to surface pain points, emerging trends and opportunity spaces. This person will use data visualization tools, such as Tableau, to create user-friendly dashboards as well as create clear, concise presentations to highlight the CX/VOC insights and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for executing analysis using the tools and data available relative to those customer experiences, using both tool-based analytics and coding languages like SQL, SAS, and Python
Produce compelling visualizations and insights to tell the story via data visualization tools such as Tableau
Communicate those insights clearly and appropriately to business partners ensuring voice of customer and shopper POV is captured and incorporated in business decisions
Partner with our CX strategy and analytics teams when appropriate for comprehensive CX perspective
Review qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources such as Medallia survey data and purchase data to identify trends, customer friction points, and innovation opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
A curious mindset that drives exploratory research
Passionate about surfacing and helping to resolve customer pain points
Ability to collaborate across multiple teams
Ability to mine and aggregate data from a broad range of sources
Coding language experience required (SQL, Python, SAS)
Familiarity with Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or DBeaver
Proficient in Tableau and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to understand and interpret databases and back-end data systems for optimal usage and application
Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written
Commitment to building strong relationships
Commitment to implement strategic vision of organization
Work Environment:
Remote: open to all candidates regardless of location.
Full time internship (40 hours/12 weeks) May - August 2025.
The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour . Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
