    Who are we?

    The corporate FP&A team partners with the key functional areas across the organization to provide analytical and thought leadership to help the organization make sound decisions. We are a support group that strives to provide the best customer service to our internal and external stakeholders. By creating long-lasting relationships and partnering with department leaders, we are able to share our analytical, financial modeling and forecasting skills to help leaders answer questions about the day-to-day operations as well as provide strategic guidance for the future. This includes analyzing and forecasting human resources, operating expenses, marketing and gross profit. Our group plays a pivotal role in creating and forecasting financial statements, operating plan, and capital budgets.

    What will you do?

    As a college intern on the FP&A team, you will play an important role assisting in the business planning process and with analytical and strategic support to internal customers throughout our business. Additionally, you will be assigned to contribute to specific functional areas, assisting senior FP&A members implement operating expense planning, reporting, and partnering with areas of the business to quantify various scenarios to help them make the most informed decisions.

    In this position, you will be challenged to grow professionally by mastering quantitative analysis and modeling skills with the guidance of senior members of the finance team. You will have the opportunity to learn about the operations of your assigned functional areas and use your financial prowess to help develop financial and data models to aide in providing actionable, insightful analysis.

    • Assist in implementing the company business planning and budgeting process.
    • Help develop financial and data models and tools that provide a platform for decision making on a variety of business issues.
    • Build performance and revenue reporting tools for internal customers and the management committee.
    • Provide analytical and decision making support for key company initiatives.
    • Manage the data transfer between financial systems.
    • Distribute financial data and track correspondence.
    • Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations. Assist with other tasks to ensure the FP&A team meets their deliverables.

  • Qualifications

    Are you a match?

    • Finance, accounting, or economics major preferred, or if you just have a strong passion and knowledge of finance/accounting, we are OK with that too!
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
    • Organized, detail oriented, and ability to multitask.
    • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Normal working business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
    • Must be willing to relocate to Las Vegas, NV for the summer of 2018 (did we mention we have some sweet housing lined up?!).
