Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician III (Second Shift)
Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician III will support production by developing processes, coordinating builds, troubleshooting, improving methods, training, researching/implementing equipment, and maintaining labor standards. This is a second shift position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and inspection
- Coordinate builds, including scheduling, material procurement, and equipment set up
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions
- Improve methods to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Train and direct other technicians as needed
- Research and implement new equipment or processes to improve production
- Maintain and update product records and documentation
- Read and interpret advanced engineering documents, such as schematics or diagrams
- Assemble and disassemble products as needed
- Perform intermediate mechanical work as needed
- Comprehend and use product/process component datasheets
- Learn advanced computer applications as needed
- Research, tabulate, and summarize data to support decision-making
- Work with little or no supervision
Requirements:
- A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments, vendors, and customers
- Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components
- Thorough understanding of test equipment and methods (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc….) and knowledge of advanced test equipment (logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root cause
- Ability to read advanced engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams
- Ability to assemble and disassemble products
- Ability to perform intermediate mechanical work
- Ability to train or direct other technicians
- Ability to learn advanced computer applications
- Ability to research, tabulate, and summarize data
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
