    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The VP, Franchise Operations is responsible for influencing and maintaining the relationship between GNC corporate and franchisees by providing consistent communications, processes, buy-in and influence on a system-wide basis. They are responsible for all key business metrics in the franchise community. They maintain consistent contact with franchisees to develop new ideas, strategy and advocacy to support growth and success under the GNC brand.  This position is a key partner with Field Operations and Field Leadership.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Act as a liaison between retail corporate and franchisees
    • Develop and maintain relationships with all key franchisees
    • Identify issues and problems that can be addressed and communicated
    • Work extensively with the Franchise Partnership Alliance (FPA) to achieve productive and meaningful changes to the Franchise programs 
    • Align the Franchise Partnership Alliance with major corporate initiatives
    • Represent GNC and the GNC programs in order to achieve Franchise buy in for programs, events and promotions
    • Work with Retail Leadership to create meaningful and consistent franchise relations programs and approaches to interactions with the franchisees
    • Develop and implement the Franchise operations standards model
    • Create productive financial model for multi-unit store portfolios
    • Advocate for the franchisees with advocacy of the GNC brand and company
    • Influence corporate practices with the franchisees, including but not limited to communications, pricing, vendor relationships and company programs
    • Additional duties as assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
    • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
    • 15+ years progressive Franchise experience required
    • 10+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
    • Ability to travel to meet with franchisees, GNC staff to strengthen relations required
    • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
    • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
    • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
    • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
    • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
