    Job Description

     

    The Regional Omni Merchandise Manager is responsible to set the omni strategy for their customer group to fulfil the customer expectation and secure long-term profitable growth in Region Americas. The role will drive omni commercial and customer agenda and create value through great knowledge of commercial planning, stock management, and product strategies. The role will support the region’s sales markets in driving regional customer group strategy and develop omni customer knowledge within Region.

     

    This position is based in New York, NY within our Merchandising function, and reports to the Regional Group Manager of Omni Merchandising, Americas. For an interim period, internal candidates employed within the region (Toronto or Mexico City) may continue working remotely. Immigration sponsorship would be provided, if applicable, to move from Toronto or Mexico City to New York before the end of 2022.

     

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    Set and align Customer Strategy for Region

    Together with the global Business Units you set the omni strategy for your assortment group to fulfil the customer expectation and secure long-term profitable growth for Region Americas

    • Adapt and optimize BU Assortment strategy for your Customer Group based on customer insights knowledge, according to regional relevance and channel specific demand
    • Responsible for the omni growth strategy for your Customer Group that aligns with the regional growth playbook direction
    • Keep a clear and frequent communication with Business Units to drive and follow up your quantified goals. Flag selling opportunities to influence buying during the season
    • Set strategy leading to healthy and relevant store portfolio for your Customer Group together with the Store Portfolio Merchandise Manager  
    • Together with the Supply & Demand and Inventory Optimization teams, align on the stock strategy that will provide the best customer experience and optimizes availability for your Customer group across physical stores & e-com

    Create and execute best customer offer

    You are responsible to drive omni commercial and customer agenda aligned with assortment needs_._

    • Know your multichannel retail situation 
    • Provide an excellent shopping experience for your customers by securing a strong omni commercial plan and ensuring local relevance across the region 
    • Collaborate with the Loyalty and Customer Insights team to build a strong customer base
    • Provide constant and structured sales follow up and customer base analysis across physical store and e-com
    • Partner with the Inventory Optimization team to determine the strategy for allocation and inventory management in order to fulfill customer expectations, achieve profitable sales, optimize stock and reduction strategies
    • Coach sales market merch specialists to secure in season stock management in physical store and e-com by matching both channels stock levels with the regional sales drivers.
    • Visit stores across the region with your regional visual counterparts to follow up on strategies and identify commercial and merchandising opportunities
    • Secure execution of your assortment strategy within the Region

    Develop & Support You support your Sales markets in driving regional customer group strategy and develop omni customer knowledge within Region.

    • Empower strong collaboration and alignment between channels to become more omni and customer centric
    • Support the sales market merchandise specialist in driving regional assortment strategy and commercial agenda
    • Lift and share best practices and learnings between sales markets and with the e-com team
    • Support the sales market merchandise specialist with actions to create stock freshness
    • Enable local relevance and develop the commercial plan for your Customer group by gathering frequent feedback from cross-functional teams and in the market
    • Support global functions by providing market knowledge and sharing local initiatives
    • Develop omni customer knowledge within the regional & sales market teams

     

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for sales and reduction of assigned concept across Omni channels for the full region
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Business or Economics; MBA or equivalent highly desired
    • 5+ years of experience with retail Buying or Planning or Retail Management
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to link customer insight knowledge into commercial actions
    • Strong understanding of retail and synergies between channels

    ·       Clear understanding how the physical store can contribute to a seamless shopping experience

    ·       Technical ability to operate & drive the development of merchandising systems, tools, reports

    • Strong data management skills – analytical, structured, ability to synthesize information and draw conclusions

    ·       Ability to link customer insight knowledge into mid and long term commercial actions

    ·       Ability to set quantified goals

    ·       Know your assortment and understand how to adapt global strategy to regional needs

    ·       Strong presentation and communication skills  

    • Very good skills in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Able to work independently and be self-motivated while still working within a team environment and fostering a strong team collaboration
    • Ability to collaborate cross functionally with Region, BU, & central functions to achieve results
    • Understanding of supply chain and garment flow complexity
    • Knowledge about operational best practices and routines for physical store & e-com
    • Knowledge about merchandising systems, tools, methods
    • Experience in building commercial plan which optimize potential of both channels
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
