We are looking for: - a bachelors degree in business, marketing, finance, information systems, or a related field - experience in retail, merchandising, consumer packaged goods, or plan-o-grams / space planning systems What is the work? Analytics: - Analyzes / evaluates space planning processes and activities - Applies proficient knowledge of JDA Space Planning plan-o-gram (POG) software systems - Operates / analyzes JDA software clustering tool data results and output - Creates Category Knowledge Base (CKB) reports - Applies comprehension of AutoCAD, Revit, and JDA Floor Planning documentation - Prepares / operates H-E-B assortment tool; presents data to Business Development Managers (BDMs) / Buyers - Performs financial analysis of categories to assist BDM / Buyer, Store, Merchandiser in making valid POG-related product decisions; captures sets created by the BDMs / Buyers for Store refresh execution - Imports / exports space planning software POG and financial details to help analyze business decisions - Builds, identifies, and validates all fixtures to be executed in POGs - Accurately captures product attributes and merchandising information (e.g., product dimensions, description, size, unit of measure, presentation, capacity, item status, etc.) - Manages primary section allocations by Store, for assigned categories - Monitors / corrects daily exceptions; coaches peers on corrective actions - Creates communication document for Store merchandising execution - Serves as subject matter expect on merchandising and assortment to BDMs / Buyers in assigned area of responsibility Project Management: - Participates in special projects from end-to-end, based on assigned category / department - Leads physical resets; documents and recaps results / findings - Manages new item placements (NIP), including form and POG recap verification - Participates in new Store POG support projects - Participates in process improvement initiatives Training: - Develops / administers training materials for new processes and technology - Coordinates training events for department, Stores, and client groups - Serves as advisor to Space Planning regarding policies, processes, procedures, and applications What is your background? - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, information systems, or a related field, or comparable experience - 2+ years of experience in retail space planning / execution (e.g., store operations, merchandising, space management, pricing, procurement, or software applications) - 2+ years of experience in consumer packaged goods sales - Experience mentoring / training peers and subordinates - Experience analyzing sales and profitability at a macro or micro level - Experience creating Category Knowledge Base (CKB) reports - Experience in inventory management systems - Experience working in JDA Space Planning software, or comparable plan-o-gram software (preferred) - Business Intelligence (BI) systems (preferred) Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Space Planning Analyst I? - Comprehensive working knowledge of space planning software, planograms, inventory management systems, Business Intelligence (BI), syndicated data sources (IRI, ACNielsen), and creation / use of Intactix Knowledge Base (IKB) reports - Strong written / verbal communication and presentation skills - Strong PC skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), and software programs / applications required by the job - Strong analytical and project management skills - Strong organization and time-management skills - Negotiation and influencing skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects / tasks; attention to detail - Ability to meet pre- and post-implementation timelines - Ability to manage moderate-scale projects from conception to implementation - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Ability to train and mentor others Can you - Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment - Travel by car or plane with overnight stays - Sit / stand for extended periods - Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more - Work extended hours --- PROC3232 **Primary Location: **US-TX-San Antonio **Work Locations: ** **Job: **Shelf Edge **Organization: **H-E-B **Schedule: **Full-time **Job Type: **Standard **Job Posting: **Sep 27, 2018, 8:45:10 PM **Shift: **Variable Hours
