Job details - Job Title - SSC Benefits Specialist - Location - Baltimore ( White Marsh ) - Country - U.S.A. - Work Area - Human Resources - Full Time - Part Time - Full Time - Job Type - Regular - Image - About the job - ABOUT THE JOB To strengthen IKEA as the employer of choice at the IKEA US Shared Services Center (SSC) by providing a high quality service to IKEA co-workers in advising, counseling, interpreting and implementing IKEA benefit policy and adherence to applicable laws and regulations. YOUR ASSIGNMENTYour main tasks will include: - Utilize the IKEA Summary Plan Descriptions in conjunction with Federal, State (all), and Local laws to administer IKEA benefit offerings. - LOA administrator. - Consultant to HR on benefit regulations, laws and policies. - Work directly on a variety of communication plans to reach coworkers, HR and third parties on Total Benefit Offer and expectations of IKEAs programs. - Import and extract electronic files from system to third party vendors for benefit functions. - Ability to work with IT, HRIS and Third party systems for implementing, testing and operating new benefit programs. - Coordinate with external vendors to resolve escalated/outstanding claims. - Support the Total Benefit Offer and value proposition through communicating with co-workers in regards to; enrollment, termination, and maintenance of the complete IKEA benefit package including Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, 401(k), Life Insurance, Disability, and EAP. - Manage COBRA notification, enrollment, termination, and maintenance of the COBRA plan. - Partner with SSC Benefits Manager to establish new ways of working to improve efficiencies, costs, and productivity of both the SSC and IKEA stores while always striving to improve the service level. - Be a resource and a strategic HR Partner to locations in the performance and effectiveness of benefit programs at IKEA. - Contribute as a member of the SSC Benefits Team and provide support to the SSC Customer Service Team. - Create an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of both co-workers and customers. - Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned.YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include: - 3-5 years experience in Human Resources as a Generalist or Benefits Administrator with 1-3 years experience in a shared services environment preferred. - Knowledge, interpretation and application of laws, regulations, company policies, best business practices and ethics related to employee benefit products. - LOA experience. - Excellent understanding of working with and referencing Summary Plan Descriptions - Computer aptitude ~ previous experience with HRMS - Superior written and oral communication skills. - Excel and Access skills. - Highly preferred candidates will have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Human Resources, Business, or other related field. - PHR / SPHR, or CEBS Certification preferred - A clear understanding of and a passion for IKEA's core values - Communicate and partner with coworkers across all levels of the organization - Ability to share your knowledge and learning with others
