Overview
The IT Analytics Intern will collaborate with leaders and teams across stores, jewelry services, contact center, and clienteling/CRM to develop operational and financial key performance indicators on dashboards that enable efficient management of a top-tier IT software engineering and store support organization. This intern will identify leading indicators to detect trends and issues requiring management intervention while filtering out unnecessary noise. This is an exciting opportunity to work with diverse functional domains and leverage cutting-edge tools, including AI, to deliver actionable insights. The IT intern will report to a senior vice president in IT.

Responsibilities

• Partner with functional leaders to gather requirements and develop dashboards for operational and financial reporting.

• Analyze trends and leading indicators to proactively highlight potential issues and opportunities for improvement.

• Consolidate and refine data from varied and incomplete sources to create meaningful insights.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance data processing, reporting, and decision-making capabilities.

• Support the operationalization of reporting processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and reliability.

• Create detailed reports, visualizations, and presentations that effectively communicate findings and recommendations.

• Actively engage with leaders and teams to understand challenges, dig into details, and propose data-driven solutions.

• Ensure dashboards and reports align with business objectives and provide measurable value.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in data analytics, information technology or related major.

• Graduation date of May 2026 preferred.

• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an inquisitive mindset.

• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools, including spreadsheets and dashboards.

• Experience with or interest in AI tools and technologies.

• Ability to work with incomplete or inconsistent data to derive insights and recommendations.

• Process-oriented with a focus on operationalizing reporting solutions.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Kanban boards) is a plus.

Work Environment

• Hybrid environment preferred, Akron, Ohio.

• Fully remote candidates may be considered.

• Year-round, part-time internship (20 hours/week), May 2025 - April 2026.

The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
