Job Description

Nordstrom is seeking summer interns who are highly motivated and focused on the customer experience to join our supply chain organization. As a Nordstrom Supply Chain Industrial Engineering Intern, you’ll play a dual role — dedicated student and valued team member. Successful Supply Chain Industrial Engineering Interns will also have the opportunity to join Nordstrom full-time upon completion of their degree.

As an intern, you may have exposure to...

• Applying industrial engineering discipline on both established and new processes, systems, and equipment.
• Developing knowledge of current state process flows, variances between distribution and fulfillment center locations, and future state process flows.
• Supporting various components and activities spanning the project management life cycle, such as business case analysis, detailed requirements, and issues management.
• Partnering with our Supply Chain Operations leadership and leveraging Industrial Engineering practices to provide creative solutions for process improvement to further simplify workflows, improve safety and productivity of operations.
• Implementing and managing leading-edge distribution technology​.

At the end of the summer, our interns report out to their Leadership Team on the key business points learned from their internship experience.  ​

• Are looking for a career that pairs your educational expertise with your love of fashion ​
• Are a passionate, curious, and innovative college student currently in your junior or senior year working toward a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering discipline
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment thanks to your ace organizational skills and ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures ​ 
• Have experience working with MS Office applications with advanced Excel skills ​ 
• Are able to move to Seattle for the duration of the 10-week summer internship ​and open to a Corporate or Field-based role in one of our Fulfillment or Distribution Centers upon graduation
• AutoCAD, simulation, and SQL query experience highly desired

The 2025 summer internship program is 10 weeks long from June 9-August 15 in Seattle, WA. Travel and housing are sponsored during program participation.  We anticipate hiring decisions being made by November 2025.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $35.00 Hourly

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
