    Job Description

    Purpose: The VIP & Concierge Services inside sales consultant will primarily support the sales and relationships of the VIP & Concierge Services Department at Sonic Automotive. The Consultant is responsible for selling vehicles and providing a personalized car buying experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening through phone and email conversations
    • Understand relationships are built on customer satisfaction and ensure all guests receive superior treatment during the entire purchase process of buying a new or pre-owned vehicle
    • Deliver a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate and courteous manner
    • Focus on learning various vehicle makes/models and the respective features/accessories that benefit customers
    • Understand optional products and services offered, including financing programs
    • Work closely with Sonic’s 100+ dealerships to provide customers nationwide with a seamless purchasing experience
    • Facilitate and coordinate communication between guest and respective dealership
    • Utilize lead management tools, CRM software and internet to manage inquiry flow, update customer file sand track customers
    • Deliver vehicles to customers if necessary
    • Coordinate trade appraisals for customers and pick up vehicle when required
    • Report to manager/director regarding sales objectives, planned activities and progress
    • Ensure high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) score is achieved on every deal
    • Attend and promote the Sonic Automotive brand at various advertising events
    • Create/maintain a prospect development system
    • Create a lasting experience to encourage referral and repeat business
    • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively

    • Superior customer service skills
    • Ability to multitask
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Guest and/or sales experience preferred
    • Professional personal appearance and demeanor
    • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to department standards
    • Must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test and valid driver’s license
