Legal Assistant KNR Consulting Corp - Akron, OH 44333 Description: Kisling, Nestico & Redick is one of the largest plaintiff firms in Ohio with offices statewide. We are seeking a Legal Assistant for our Toledo office. The individual will work closely with attorneys to manage personal injury cases for our clients. Our ideal candidate is an ambitious self-starter who takes initiative to achieve team goals. Essential Duties &Responsibilities* * Obtain, review, and organize medical records * Prepare, calculate, and maintain damage summaries including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage * Log daily mail * Prepare and forward medical records to insurance carriers and defense counsel * Communicate and correspond with clients regarding case status * Prepare check requests, maintain check records, and mail checks to vendors * Prepare disbursement summaries * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requirements: Qualifications * Bachelor's degree highly preferred * Paralegal certificate is a plus * Relevant work experience of at least 2 years required * Articulate, organized team player with excellent grammar and writing skills * Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Solid organizational and interpersonal communication skills * Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines * Must be highly proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word * Working knowledge of Needles Case Management software is a plus KNR offers competitive compensation, health, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance, paid time off, flextime, and a 401k with company match.
