Additional responsibilities include: writing end-user documentation and communications, playing an integral part in internal change management processes, and maintaining a high level of QA for all delivered services. It requires a strong knowledge of Release/Deploy methodologies, Change Management, and Quality Assurance practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also required. Experience with Agile/Kanban methodologies and ITIL a plus. Position Summary: Responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing software releases for technology Project initiatives. This position will work with multiple Technology teams to ensure controlled release of software project releases. The Release Coordinator will also act as keeper of best practice Release Management standards and processes. Essential Job Functions: * Collaborate with Product Owners, Program/Project Managers, and Technical Leads to define and maintain the overall software or infrastructure release calendar and milestone schedule with respect to project schedules and budget. * Manage the product backlog and/or remediation plans by working with Project Manager, Product Owner and technical leads to prioritize and scope items for release. * Act as central point of communication for Release Activities including Release meetings, documentation (Release notes, Known Issues, etc), Release Readiness, and Go/No-Go discussions. * Coordinate with Project Manager, Technical and QA Leads to develop and facilitate the build, test, and deployment plan for all releases. * Coordinate with the Release Engineer and Infrastructure teams for release deployment to Production and Pre-Production environments. * Facilitate and adhere to the Change Management process as defined by the Enterprise Change Management Office. * Coach team members to align their efforts and maximize throughput based on Agile/Lean or ITIL values, principles, and practices. * Ensure that environmental configurations are in place to satisfy needs of infrastructure and application development and support teams. * Work with other Technology departments as necessary to overcome impediments to the teams progress ensuring high degrees of team productivity. * Contribute to team standards and governance processes. * Ensure adherence to Krogers standard development and delivery best practices and processes and drive the team toward continuous improvement goals. * Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Position Qualifications: * 2+ years experience working as Release Coordinator or Project Manager. * Experience in system, design or programming and the associated development methodologies * Proven experience coordinating with resources from all areas of IT to complete a set of tasks or implementation of technical change. * 2+ years experience working on complex projects with high performing cross-functional teams. * Experience managing releases within guidelines of Project Lifecycle (PLC) * Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to influence others without formal authority * Familiar understanding of Agile/SCRUM Development methodology. * Familiar understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or similar industry best practice approaches * Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to all levels of the organization.
