This position will guide and serve teams that deliver technology solutions, through effective application of the Lean/Agile principles and frameworks including Scrum, Kanban Method, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The Product Owner is responsible for eliciting the business needs of the customer to help determine solutions to complex business problems. The Product Owner is responsible for requirements development and requirements management in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. The Product Owner will act as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. The Product Owner must have the ability to interact with Senior Management to plan and execute strategic initiatives, taking complex projects from vision to reality. The Product Owner has in-depth knowledge of multiple business areas and is familiar with Enterprise Strategy and well versed in Life Cycle Methodologies. The Product Owner uses this knowledge to drive effective and efficient business processes and standards. Position Summary: Define requirements for and manage waterfall/agile frameworks in accordance with software development life cycle (SDLC) guidelines. Coach and mentor others on small to medium size efforts. Operate in a business analyst or product owner role by eliciting the needs/priorities of the business and speaking on behalf of customers while working with teams to provide technology solutions. Essential Job Functions: * Elicit, analyze and define waterfall/agile framework requirements in various formats (e.g., diagrams, use case, user story, written, etc.) ensuring they are testable, measurable and traceable * Refine and manage waterfall/agile framework requirements using various tools (e.g., templates, team backlogs, requirements management or agile task management applications) * Assist with building business cases and project justification reports * Complete requirement walk-throughs with key stakeholders using various methods (e.g., team demos, workshops, sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions) * Identify and estimate anticipated work efforts for the creation of work plans based on priority using requirement work plans, program increment (PI) planning, and sprint planning * Define and resolve dependencies, issues and risks and identify impacted areas through team collaboration
