The HR Intern for the GPC Shared Services corporate campus at Genuine Parts Company supports talent acquisition, compensation, training & development, employee wellbeing & recognition across multiple technology, supply chain and financial teams. The HR Intern will be responsible for supporting these teams by assisting with HR project plans, meeting management, action item follow-up, training activities, process improvements, vendor management, occupational health & safety, and other related tasks. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to learn about HR management as well as employee relations in a shared services environment. Responsibilities * Will assist in all administrative aspects of a multi-functional HR Department including recruiting, on-boarding, training, and employee Relations * Drive communication and feedback among summer Interns, their managers and the program Core Team * Assist with the coordination of the overall 2018 Summer Intern Program calendar of events * Assist with the on-boarding process with employees to include communications prior to start date, first day process, and new hire orientation * Develop, distribute and track return of annual total compensation sheets * Assist with retirement and service anniversary recognition events * Assist with Wellbeing Program communication and events * Assist with managing trainee enrollment and attendance in the Learning Management System * Assist with building safety and compliance with annual occupational health requirements Qualifications * Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or comparable * Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project * Previous campus or community leadership preferred * Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities * Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments * Ability to work well under limited supervision * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills * Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to see the long term vision * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to maintain confidentiality 260860
