A day in the life ** ** As a Corporate Investigator in Nordstrom's Center of Excellence... * Build and deliver solutions to control internal and external losses through developing, initiating and resolving a variety of investigations * Rely on a mixture of available data, investigative tools, loss prevention systems, experience and judgement to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems * Achieve quality, efficiency and integrity standards for investigations * Communicates effectively in a variety of settings and adjusts to fit the audience. Exhibit a high level of proficiency and professionalism in your interview style including remote interviews * Prove a strong bottom-line orientation through ability to identify and evaluate potential loss situations and resolve cases in a timely manner * Prepare thorough and accurate documentation to support determinant actionEstablish and maintain effective relationships within Nordstrom and with outside partners * Pushes self and helps store level loss prevention and less experienced investigators achieve results, as appropriate, including training * Accept assignments that broaden capabilities by clarifying plans and objectives, balancing project assignments and standard duties, and ensuring timely delivery * Determine if an investigation interview with the subject(s) is warranted.
