OUR EXPECTATIONS We are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to administer payroll, benefits and total rewards for Paris Baguette. This position will be responsible for performing payroll duties, HRIS processes and running special reports for numerous audits. This candidate will assist our Payroll Manager with data entry, maintaining employee information and being involved with employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures. Our ideal candidate is someone who can provide our payroll and HR department with a keen eye for accuracy and organization. KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Review personnel records from our Onboarding Platform, Harri, to determine accuracy of data, such as names, rates of pay and occupations of newly hired team members. • Review and process changes in HRIS data such as wage rates and occupations of team members on the payroll platform, Paylocity. • Plans, conducts and reports results of audits to ensure all enrollments are accurate and that dependent information is correct for each employee • Work closely with Accounting department for quarterly and year end audits while providing oversight and administration of Payroll, Worker’s Comp, 401(K). • Audit for accuracy, new or changed pay rates in payroll files. • Evaluate and implement Payroll/HRIS systems upgrades and changes. • Direct computation of pay according to company policies, and local and state labor laws. • Review and approve payroll deductions, including Expense reimbursement. • Produces scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and HR requirements. • Review payroll to ensure accuracy and process timely each bi-weekly and weekly payroll runs. • Ensure timecards are complete and signed off by team members and supervisors in Harri platform. • Verify and audit hours worked for associated for accuracy, contact appropriate supervisor regarding discrepancies and missing information. • Assist in answering payroll questions and providing support to employees by resolving individual payroll issues, conveying information, etc. • Provide wage statements as necessary. • Handle state, local and payroll tax registrations with minimal supervision. • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. • Work closely with HR team with Open Enrollment and processing of Open Enrollment on Paylocity platform. • Assist with performing quality checks of benefits-related data. • Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes. • Maintain employee records in Payroll/HRIS systems. • Respond to all unemployment claims in a timely manner WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferred. • 2+ years of experience in HRIS/Payroll/Time keeping systems, required.
