POSITION:

As a Procurement Intern you will work Procurement Operations, Sourcing, and the Program Management Office (PMO) to assist with activities related to the acquisition of indirect goods and services that enable Signet to maintain and develop operations.

Signet’s Procurement and Business Support Services Team is an integral department serving as a strategic business partner that delivers financial value, risk management, and outstanding team member experiences in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This position will include exposure to Signet’s end-to-end Supply Chain, including Distribution, Logistics, Ecommerce Fulfillment and Manufacturing, and interaction with Signet Supply Chain executives, including the Chief Supply Chain Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with Indirect Procurement team to gain experience utilizing strategic Procurement methodologies and eProcurement tools
• Analyze category spend data, summarize key findings, and make recommendations to the Sourcing Team to support cross-functional and cross-organizational sourcing initiatives and strategies
• Own an Indirect Procurement initiative and present project results to Indirect Procurement team and key stakeholders
• Support the research and implementation of new technology initiatives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled and pursing a bachelor’s degree program preferably in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and/or Business-related major
• Minimum overall 3.0 GPA is required
• Anticipated graduation range of December 2022-May 2023
• Proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, an Outlook
• Ability to learn new software programs; SAP experience is a plus
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, operations, or supply chain is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position will be remote, and any on-site requirements will be discussed as needed.

• Requires ability to interact and collaborate with team members via video-conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom
• Candidate must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks summer 2022, beginning May 23, 2022.
