Position Responsibilities: * Hazard Communication/On-Demand Labeling: Responsible for the health and safety information related to on-demand labeling of products for compliance with domestic and international regulations. Review formulas, products and labels. * Understand and interpret current regulations regarding label requirements. * Hazard/Toxicological review. * Provide guidance on regulatory requirements for on-demand product labels. * Support and maintain the generation of label templates for on-demand printing and Regulatory content generation. * Support business in label compliance. * Assist in process improvements for any areas of product compliance. * Communicate regulatory requirements to SW personnel and external customers, including: * compliance status. * necessary changes/updates.

    • SDS Form Development * Understand and interpret current country specific SDS requirements. * Support the development and maintenance of SDS forms globally. * Review and support system updates to understand and confirm accuracy of revised documents. * Coordinate support of cross pathway exchanges to support global business needs such as Technology Transfer. * Support continuous improvement projects, quarterly upgrades and SDS form enhancement. * Track and Manage Changing Regulation * Monitor new and changing regulations applying to product compliance. * Assist in determining the impact and developing a compliance strategy for upcoming and/or changing regulations as they are related to SW and our products. **Position Requirements: ** Education Required:
    • BA/BS in Science (Chemistry, or related field) Experience Required: * 1-3 years Regulatory or Compliance experience, preferably in a chemical related field (or an equivalent of 3 years within a coatings related technical organization for every 1 year of Regulatory related experience). * Familiarity and general understanding of Regulations governing hazardous chemicals and their use, in the coatings industry (OSHA, HMIS, FHSA, GHS, etc). Preferred: * U.S. Regulations and interpretations thereof governing Hazard communications for Industrial, Professional, and Consumer products (ex: OSHA, FHSA, CPSC, FTC, HMIS Communication. and Weights and Measures, etc). * Misc. State Regulations governing Hazard Communication for SW products (ex: California Child Safety Industrial Container Labeling Law, California Prop 65, Connecticut Spontaneous Combustion, Air Pollution. Requirements, VOC Labeling Requirements, State Right to Know Laws, etc.). * Canadian regulations and interpretations thereof governing Hazard communications for Industrial, Professional, and Consumer products (WHMIS, CCCR). * Mexican regulations and interpretations thereof governing Hazard communications for Industrial, Professional, and Consumer products (ex. Mexican NOMs). * Additional experience with regulations and interpretations thereof governing Hazard communications for Industrial, Professional, and Consumer products within Europe, South America, and the APAC regions. Technical/Skill Required: * Must be able to work with and respond to all levels of management, peers, laboratories, manufacturing, regulatory agencies, industry groups, and any other internal and external customers. * Strong problem solving skills.
