    ORACLE APPLICATIONS DBA IV

     

    The Oracle Applications DBA is responsible for setup, support & management of Oracle Retail Suite Applications (RMS, ReIM, ReSA, RPM, and RPAS) and Databases in production, test & development environments.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Build and support Oracle Retail Suite (RMS, ReSA, ReIM, RPM, and RPAS) and Oracle 11gR2/12c databases.
    • Be the primary technical staff responsible for cloning, code deployment and migration, applying patches and providing user support for Oracle Retail Suite environments.
    • Effectively demonstrate on performance analysis, tuning & improvements of Oracle database based application systems, like, Oracle EBS, Oracle Retail, and Micros XStore.
    • Provides support for the most complex database support activities including off-shift support.
    • Designs and performs Database Administration maintenance tasks and analyzes processes for improvement.
    • Performs the most complex database changes and application implementations.
    • Analyzes, tests and implements changes and enhancements to database management software and databases.
    • Leads teams in moderately complex or medium scale database support, maintenance, change, designs, disaster recovery and implementation projects.
    • Collaborates with technology/infrastructure staff to identify database relationships and functional requirements. Analyzes and resolves issues related to information flow and content.
    • Contributes to technical design of database structure in partnership with developers.
    • Performs database performance and tuning activities.
    • Provides direction and guidance to more junior associates.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent technical knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) functions
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with DBMS (e.g. DB2, SQL Server, Oracle and other relevant technologies)
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills required
    • Works well independently as well as part of a team
    • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI compliance requirements
    • Excellent verbal and written technical and business communication skills
    • Ability to design and implement database disaster recovery solutions
    • Understands and able to communicate database management software licensing knowledge
    • 8 years Database administration and/or support experience to include analysis, design and implementation of Databases to support client server or web based business systems.
    • Bachelor's degree in Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Math or equivalent related experience.
