IT Intern (October 2018 - May 2019) InternshipProgram StatementThe internship program at Volkswagen Group ofAmerica Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / universitystudents and recent graduates the opportunity to use and develop skills theyhave learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art productionfacility, and to provide Volkswagen Chattanooga the opportunity to developtalent for potential future entry-level positions. ** ** ** Our internships are full-time positions (40hrs/week). Candidates will be expected to be available to work duringnormal business hours (Monday Friday; exact hours will vary by position andsome positions might require work on Saturdays). Tobe eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolledat an accredited post-secondary educational institution, or have graduated fromone within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship. Candidates who do not meet this guideline will not be considered. This positionwill start in _October 2018 _and end on May 17th, 2019. Applications for later terms will not be accepted at this time. RoleSummary: Support of a variety of IT topics such as ITSecurity, SAP, IT Operations, ITIL, COBIT, Project Management, etc. Thisinternship assumes existing knowledge in manufacturing environments and basicknowledge of the automotive industry. Role Responsibilities: * Support for definition of IT requirements * Support to develop an application test catalog * Support local ITP team in definition, creation and implementation of a new system requirements. * Support of the local ITP team in analyzing data and creating management summaries on IT operations topics. * Daily administrative work functions EducationRequired: Minimum of 2 years of study in ComputerScience, IT, or Industrial Engineering Skills * Experience in IT applications * Knowledge in defining test catalogs for new applications and execution of system tests. * Analytical and conceptual thinking using logic and reason, creative and strategic thinking * Communication skills interpersonal, presentation and written * Computer savvy skilled in the use of software * Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, & Access) * Integration joining people, processes or systems * Influencing and negotiation skills * Resource management * Problem solving; being able to solve complex problems effectively and efficiently ** Pay Rates based on level of education: * Junior $18/hour * Senior and beyond $20/hour **Primary Location: **United States-Tennessee-Chattanooga **Work Locations: ** **Organization: **Volkswagen Group of America Inc.
