    About Us:

We are a rapidly growing Furniture Distribution company looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee an estimate of 50 employees, including supervisors, leads, and associates. Our ideal candidate needs to be an individual who takes the initiative and works independently. Our goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

The Operations Manager’s role is to ensure that products, inventory, and parts, move from our suppliers to our storage warehouse and to our end customer efficiently and cost-effectively. This role will implement practices and guide the team to ensure the storage and flow of products, materials, and services by formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources, and ensuring workplace safety.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that our multi-location warehouses operate at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by developing efficiencies through the use of standard workflow and work instructions.

Establish a warehouse training program ensuring the team is productive, efficient, error free while working in a safe environment.

Develop operations excellence by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.

Develop work instructions so that the team can provide world class repeatable service levels.

Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals. Set productivity goals, setting up logistical organization systems and creating a communication system within the company.

Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.

Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.

Direct shipments and resolve logistical challenges by communicating with clients, transportation providers, manufacturers, and suppliers.

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

Supervise logistics operations including freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control.

    Conduct team meetings.

Evaluate and recommend changes in preferred work methods to increase productivity of warehouse operations.

Provide relief coverage for operational duties when associates utilize time-off or are absent from the shift.

Have a thorough working knowledge of the site's operating systems in order to ensure operational compliance and correct exception resolution.

Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
