  • Responsibilities

    Your Responsibilities

    • During our comprehensive, 8-week internship program, interns are exposed to different functional areas of business at Lockton and have the opportunity to interact with many Associates. Working alongside these Associates allows interns to experience our caring and diverse culture, develop business acumen, and grow their technical and soft skills. Each intern is paired with a Performance Coach who helps to guide them through the course of the internship.
    • The program is very "hands-on" with the intern being included in such activities policy review, client renewal presentations, and onsite client meetings.
      • In a small group (3-5 interns), solve a real-world challenge facing the insurance industry and Lockton. Present findings and strategies in a formal presentation to Lockton leadership at the end of the program.
      • Rotate through several weeklong case studies focused on our specialized units within the company. Work alongside leaders to identify solutions to client issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
    • Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
    • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
    • Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
    • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
    • Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
    • Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
    • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
    • Legally able to work in the United States
