Talent House seeks to hire a current college student for a recruiting internship. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with an interest to build a career in sales or recruiting. This role is an amazing opportunity for someone who is passionate about people, process and contributing to the early stages of growing talent search firm. Our internship program is commission only giving you the ability to make supplemental income while learning invaluable knowledge and skills to build your career in the professional world.
You will have the opportunity to be mentored by our Founder Bill McHargue. He has spent over 19 years working for tech companies in the Valley recruiting and hiring his own sales, customer success and account managers for top SaaS and enterprise companies like StrongView, the Rubicon Project and Swrve. Bill has been a part of 7 startups including 1 IPO and 1 acquisition You will help Talent House with our end-to-end recruiting operations from identifying top talent and strategic projects to building out our internal systems. You will interface with leading early stage startup teams and understand the critical roles they are looking to fill, and learn how they filter and hire for key positions.
Responsibilities
You will be assisting the Founder with finding talent (candidates) and clients (hiring managers) through internal referrals, networking internet searches, LinkedIn outreach, cold outreach email and phone and more
Build new business pipeline through reaching out to prospective clients
Help maintain and enter information in our applicant and client tracking systems
Communicate effectively and confidently at all levels over the phone, in person and by email
You will perform special projects, research and other related duties as required
Participate in screening resumes and LinkedIn profiles to source top talent
Professional discretion and ability to work with extremely sensitive, confidential information
Self-starter with entrepreneurial mind-set
Must be currently enrolled in a local SF Bay Area college/university
All applicants must be able to work at least 10 or more hours per week through the duration of the current school semester
Education: Pursuing BA/ BS, MBA, or MA/MS in Business, Communication, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field
You have a genuine interest in recruiting/HR/sales
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong oral and written communication skills
You are a self-starter, able to support multiple demands
