Genius is seeking a dedicated and media-savvy intern to assist its communications director with daily press duties, including but not limited to:
Compiling and archiving daily press clips and all received media coverage.
Compiling and maintaining a comprehensive media list that spans across verticals, including contacts for online, print, broadcast, radio/podcast, events, and influencers.
Drafting press releases and pitches for tech launches, artist releases, events, etc.
Maintaining and updating the Genius Media Kit and FAQ.
Helping to prepare media briefs for founders and other employees ahead of interviews and public appearances.
Assisting on press photoshoots, if necessary.
Assisting with and attending media conferences, panels, and events, if necessary.
Being well-read, media-savvy, and interested in the news, politics, music, pop culture, and tech are all required to excel at this internship. Bonus if you've interned at other startups and/or media firms.

Strong verbal/writing skills, ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, resourcefulness.
