A Better Florist is an online florist based in Singapore. This internship is in our Search Engine Optimization team, and the task focuses on link acquisition.

Link acquisition is crucial for businesses, especially those that operate primarily online like ours. In a word, this is the process of getting search engines like Google to rank our site as the first result when someone searches for something like “online florist in Singapore.” This, in turn, has a huge impact on our company’s revenue; if our site is one of the first results, it is more likely to be visited by potential customers, thus driving up the business’s revenue.

You will be contributing to this project by helping us to acquire links. Search engines will believe that our site is more reliable if a large number of other websites have links to our own.

The basic process is as follows:

    • You will first be assigned a type of link, say lifestyle review blogs in Hong Kong.
    • Then, you will search for lifestyle review blogs with a theme that matches our company.
    • You’ll contact the owner of the blog and ask if they would be interested in receiving one of our flower bouquets and if they are interested in writing a review on us.
