CommScope is adding a Software Engineer to our team as part of our Graduate Rotation Program (GRP). This position is located in Lowell, MA, USA. Focus will be on designing, developing and integrating 4G and 5G Radio software for telecommunication products.

• Designing and developing software applications for 4G and 5G radio.

• Programming SoCs and Multi-core processors at application software level.

• Developing Linux Kernel space, user space and peripheral drivers.

• Implementing Ethernet and IP networking protocols.

• Ensuring technical feasibility of software designs.

• Writing functional, design and test specifications.

• Prototyping software for new products.

• Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies.

• Collaborating with hardware and system engineering teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION

• 0-2 years of relevant work experience.

• A degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

• Must be geographically mobile. Locations vary based on businesses, and participant may be required to relocate for rotations. Relocation assistance is provided.

YOU WILL EXCITE US IF YOU POSSESS TWO OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING

• ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING GRADUATES: Understanding of wireless communication topics like Fourier transform, Correlation, Channel encoding, decoding, Channel estimation and equalization and Spectrum analysis.

• COMPUTER SCIENCE GRADUATE: Theoretical knowledge of networking protocols, Operating system concepts, Databases.

• Familiarity of multi-threaded, multi-processor and SoC platforms.

• Expertise in C / C++ programming.

• Previous Internship or Co-Op experience.

• Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to use analytical skills to solve complex problems.

• Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet timelines.
