    This is a 12-week paid learning experience during which you’ll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company.     T-Mobile IT division provides solution capabilities that drive progress on T-Mobile’s business objectives. Valuable IT resources and investments must be placed with incredible efficiency due to the telecom industry’s competitive nature. Our team strives to be the best partner ever by producing decision support material that exposes insights for stakeholders to aggressively and efficiently manage the delivery process. In 2023, the organization made a major transition to an enterprise-wide Agile approach for software delivery.

    We are seeking a summer intern that will jump in with us by designing and producing reports, dashboards, data extraction processes and data visualization solutions that drive agile portfolio management operations. We collaborate with key stakeholders (Finance, Project Managers, Portfolio Managers) to understand their key process control points and metrics, source the data behind it, design visual queues and publish a final product for consumption. Additionally, we modify and enhance existing reports, validate and test to ensure accuracy and quality and provide support and training where needed.

    Summer Project: The specifics may change by time of engagement; however, the project will generally involve collaborating with a stakeholder team (e.g. Finance) to identify their key metrics to be tracked and managed. This will require harvesting the data and then designing, building and deploying a reporting dashboard the team can utilize.

    What You’ll Do:

    Design and produce standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and various data visualization reporting solutions. Gather and document report requirements. Write report specifications to meet business needs. Use reporting tools, applications, and/or queries to create and configure new reports and dashboards. Perform modifications and enhancements on existing reports based on evolving business requirements. Validate and test reports to ensure accuracy and quality. May participate in the design and development of business intelligence reporting tools. May provide support and training to end-users for reporting tools and reports.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Gather simple to moderately complex data inputs from multiple sources. Run routine data queries from reporting tools, ensuring integrity of data and reporting.

    • Partner with customers & stakeholders on the development and production of a wide range of standard reports. Ensure delivery meets agreed upon requirements.

    • Assist with analysis, design, & testing of various enhancements & changes to reports or information portals.

    • Support Sr level analysts with reporting, analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed.

    • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

    What It Takes:

    • Collaborate with internal organizations (Finance, Project & Portfolio Management, etc.) to elicit reporting specifications.​

    • Gather simple to moderately complex data inputs from multiple sources. Run routine data queries from reporting tools, ensuring integrity of data and reporting. Develop, refine and maintain Excel and SQL-based data models. ​

    • Build, maintain, and improve forward-facing PowerBI-based tools for use by leaders to view, analyze and modify information. ​

    • Assist with analysis, design and testing of enhancements and modifications to reports or information portals.​

    • Create and deliver supporting documentation.

    • Responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • At least 18 years of age

    • Legally authorized to work in the United States

    • Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program

    • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

    Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

    Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

    Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
