What It’s Like:
The Platform Administrator is responsible for the daily management, operations, maintenance, and support of our organization’s data and workload automation platforms. This includes overseeing process scheduling tools, data management systems, and data storage solutions across traditional relational databases, big data platforms, data warehouses, and cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Support: Ensure the functionality and reliability of various data platforms.
Security & Compliance: Implement security measures and support SOX remediation efforts.
Change Management: Facilitate and manage changes to platform configurations and processes.
Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with vendors to enhance platform capabilities.
Roadmap Assistance: Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of the platform roadmap.
What You’ll Do:
Our Intern will have the opportunity to work on projects aimed to assist with the upgrade of our platforms for version updates as well as code migrations. Our intern will also assist with the development of our share point site as well as other exciting transformational opportunities as we help transform our customer workload automation future.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Management:
Oversee the daily operations of data and workload automation platforms.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary adjustments.
Process Scheduling:
Manage and optimize scheduling tools to ensure timely data processing and workload execution.
Create, modify, and maintain scheduling jobs and workflows.
Cloud Platforms:
Support and manage workload automation tools for cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Implement best practices for cloud storage, security, and performance optimization.
Security and Compliance:
Play a critical role in maintaining security standards and ensuring compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
Regularly conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Change Management:
Coordinate changes to platform configurations and system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Document changes and maintain accurate records of configurations and processes.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
Evaluate vendor performance and assess new tools and technologies.
Platform Roadmap:
Assist in developing and refining the platform roadmap, aligning it with organizational goals.
Stay updated on industry trends and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
What It Takes:
Experience with Python, PERL, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible or equivalent
Experience with cutting edge database/data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, SAP and Oracle
Experience with workload automation tools such as Control-M, Autosys, Tidal, Activebatch and Apache Airflow
Experience supporting Unix and Windows environments
Experience working with DevSecOps platforms such as Gitlab using CDP/CICD
Experience working with various project management tools such as Jira/Jira Software
Experience with Azure Cloud components
Minimum Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships
Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.
Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
