    What It’s Like

    The Digital Commerce domain is responsible for developing and maintaining new capabilities for T-Mobile’s eCommerce Platform that drive our shopping experience from browse to checkout. Our products are REST APIs, and our customers are T-Mobile development teams that, like us, obsess over delivering great experiences for customers. Our working culture fosters innovation and agility.     What You’ll Do

    In this role you will work closely with a team of highly skilled IT professionals where you will have the opportunity to gain experience in designing, developing/coding, testing, and deploying solutions in a cloud-based architecture for T-Mobile’s eCommerce platform. Additionally, you will acquire knowledge in service reliability and performance testing for this highly available platform.     Key Responsibilities

    • Contribute to real-word projects by assisting with the development and enhancement of existing eCommerce software.
    • Perform detailed technical design and implementation of APIs
    • Improve product quality through code reviews and writing effective unit tests.
    • Participate in Service Reliability, Security, Performance and Stability initiatives.
    • Work with a mentor and learn team + pair programming techniques.
    • Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of application features

    What It Takes

    • Strong coding skills, with the ability to produce quality code that is reusable without being overly complex.
    • Knowledge of Java, Maven, Python and Spring Boot
    • Knowledge of designing, developing and testing RESTful APIs. Understanding of GraphQL is a plus but not necessary
    • Experience or familiarity with Gitlab for repository management and collaboration
    • Experience or familiarity with cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google clouds) for application deployment and infrastructure setup
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage time effectively, work both independently and in a team setting.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • At least 18 years of age
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
    • Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
    • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

    Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

    Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

    Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
