Our Accessibility team offers communication products and services to reduce or eliminate communication barriers for customers who are Deaf, DeafBlind, have a hearing or vision loss, and cognitive, speech or mobility needs that require additional assistance. With Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) the Relay Communications Assistant serves as a link for the callers, relaying the call back and forth between the parties by speaking what a text user types, and typing what a voice telephone user speaks. RESPONSIBILITIES The Relay Communication Assistant relays telephone conversations between deaf or hard of hearing customers that are using a computer or TTY and voice customers using a regular telephone. The Relay Communication Assistant utilizes their ability to listen while simultaneously typing to enhance the customer interface. Here's what we’ll count on you to do:
