    Overall Purpose:

    Responsible for completing the three year Technology Operations Track within AT&T's Technical Development Program (TDP- TechOps).

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • The program is dedicated to securing talented, highly qualified, and extremely motivated college graduates in engineering and technology fields, and developing them into a strong base of skilled and capable Technology Operations managers with a firm grasp of technical, business, and leadership fundamentals.
    • TDP- TechOps directly supports the sourcing and development needs of our technical new-hire employees in the Technology Operations organization this includes (but is not limited to) all of our Engineering and Operations organizations and responsibilities.
    • Rotations are two 18 month assignments across different functional areas within the Technology Operations organization exclusive to first level positions only.
    • Knowledge and skills obtained are relevant to all aspects of AT&T operations and policies.
    • Participants also attend formal training programs designed to provide technical expertise built upon a strong educational background emphasizing our networks and technology via two job rotations, SME presentation, infrastructure tours, vendor/partner visits and Web training package;
    • Business acumen on the business of being an engineer which includes executive speakers, networking events, small group sessions, ideation presentations and book reviews;
    • Leadership Development providing the fundamentals that grow strong technical leaders via mentoring assignments, leadership training and philanthropy.
    • TDP-Tech Op participants are required to meet or exceed the programs expectations to remain.

    (This Sr. Specialist Technology Development job is reserved for exclusive use by the Tech Ops Development Program administrators for selected Bachelors of STEM with outstanding leadership potential.)

    • Technical professional with some experience.
    • Sound technical knowledge growing through application, expanding knowledge of ATT technologies.
    • Education: Typically a BS degree in Math, Science or Engineering preferred or equivalent related network experience.
    • Experience: Typically at least 1- 3+ years of successful technology engineering or related experience.
