Job Summary:
The Application Development Intern Manager II oversees the recruitment, training, and management of interns within the Engineering & Technology (E&T) application development teams. This role ensures interns gain valuable experience and contribute effectively to our Engineering & Technology strategic goals. The manager provides leadership, manages resources, optimizes processes, and drives innovation within the team, while also collaborating closely with cross-functional application teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
Leads, manages, and develops a mid/large team of Application Development Interns
Coordinate the recruitment process for application development interns, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding
Develop and implement training programs to enhance interns' technical skills and knowledge of application development
Provides guidance and mentorship to interns. Focus on developing technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and career growth within the teams
Assign tasks and projects to interns, ensuring they align with team goals and deadlines
Tracks team performance and goal progress by KPIs established by leadership, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to drive improvements, remove barriers, and achieve performance goals
Builds relationships and collaborates inter-department stakeholders to support team effectiveness
Ensures team adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards by coaching employees in required practices or applying corrective actions
Conducts regular check-ins with team members to provide feedback, discuss goal progress and address any performance-related issues promptly and professionally
Participates in the budgeting process in the technology department, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and within financial constraints.
Contributes to and influences technical decisions for teams
Addresses issues or blockers on routine problems with guidance from leadership. When necessary, escalates to senior leadership, clearly articulating the issues and risks.
Monitors progress of assigned projects and tasks, ensuring that timelines and milestones are met. Proactively addresses roadblocks or delays. Delivers regular updates to internal stakeholders and leadership regarding project status, potential risks, and mitigation strategies by setting realistic expectations through transparent communication.
Collaborates with key stakeholders by evaluating results in order to ensure that expected outcomes are occurring and business objectives are being met
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration/Management, Information Technology, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training WITH at least 2 years of experience in an Engineering and Technology role AND WITH at least 1 year of experience managing a team, or 4 years of experience in an Engineering and Technology role WITH at least 1 year of experience managing a team
AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training WITH 5 years of Engineering and Technology experience WITH at least 2 years of experience managing an Engineering and Technology team
Previous experience managing interns or junior team members
Familiarity with Software Development methodologies and tools
Work location will be split between our Fayetteville & Lowell office
Minimal Travel Required between 5-15%

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
