Job Summary and Mission Responsible for processing payroll for an assigned area. Ceridian experience required. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: - Process payroll for assigned regional area including, but not limited to manual/voided checks, new hire setup, terminations, deductions, and direct deposits. - Perform internal control processes. - Perform payroll audits of payroll processing to verify accuracy of all information. - Update and maintain timekeeper. - Distribute checks and reports. - Create and generate reports. - Audit and monitor PTO Plans for employee setup, termination and changes. - Research employee issues. - Respond to employee questions. Summary of Experience and Education - High school diploma or GED is required. - Minimum two years related experience - Stong expereince with Ceridian Dayforce payroll interface - Ceridian experience required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to analyze moderately complex administrative details and routine tasks including organizing, preparing and coding documents and preparing summary reconciliations. - Accurate typing and/or data entry skills. - Ability to develop and document processes and procedures. - Proven organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments. - Able to work independently while following established policy and procedures. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. - Ability to respond promptly and professionally to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve performance. - Ability to recommend solutions to common problems. - Ability to work effectively as a team member. - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. - Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. - Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds. - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, senior management, clients, customers, and the general public. Licenses and Certifications - FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) preferred. Travel - Travel is not required in this position.
