Key Responsibilities of Our Field Technicians: Ensure the safety and comfort of our patients while providing exceptional customer service. Participate in pre-trip briefings and in-trip responsibilities Demonstrate the use of safety equipment and ensure safety requirements are met Answer patients questions and provide assistance when necessary, particularly those with special needs Reassure patients during the trips, such as when you experience delays. What You'll Need - the Minimums: Ability to work in the US Be at least 25 years of age A high school degree or GED Ability to work a flexible schedule Ability to speak, read, write and understand English fluently Willingness to comply with our uniform and appearance guidelines, including tattoos and piercings. Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and comprehensive background check along with a MVR. Ability to work in a physically demanding role which requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching and lifting (i.e., pushing/pulling wheelchairs and stretchers), able to work in outdoor temperatures year around, Lift over 70 pounds, and maneuver 150 pounds. Willingness to adhere to a strict attendance and tardiness policy Must have reliable transportation to and from work Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened One or More of the Following Will Give You an Edge: 1+ years of work experience in a personalized customer service, patient care, or similar role Experience in a role ensuring the safety and/or care of others (teacher, military, EMT, firefighter, coach, law enforcement, lifeguard, nurse, Peace Corps, etc.) Education beyond high school What You Need to Know: Since Caliber Care+Transport operates day and night and all year-round, Field Technicians must work a flexible schedule. The average entry level Field Technician earns approximately $25,000 per year with an opportunity to earn more depending upon schedule. Calibers compensation package is competitive and our benefits program includes health and insurance coverage. Prior to beginning work in the Field Technicians role, new hires must successfully complete training. During this time, participants receive a training wage. Information for Candidates: Uniform and Appearance Guidelines The Field Technician uniform represents Calibers corporate image and identifies staffers to the public. It is the responsibility of each Field Technician to meet and maintain all uniform and image standards. Caliber covers the costs of uniforms for our Field Technicians. There are a wide variety of options to choose from through the Caliber catalog. Our Field Technicians may not have any tattoos that are visible while wearing our uniform (e.g., on face, neck, hands, lower arms, or legs for example). Visible body piercings, multiple ear piercings, and earlobe plugs are not permitted. In addition, the wearing of facial piercing jewelry is not permitted. Unusual or attention-grabbing adornments, such as nail decals, excessive make-up, or non-natural hair color, are not permitted. Facial hair must be neatly trimmed, and beards and mustaches must meet specific length requirements. Complete details of the uniform and appearance standards are provided to new hires.
